The Inventor is a reading book series for little kids, telling the adventures and the different life stages of a boy who became a famous scientist. It's more than a kids story though, the series is developed especially for children to help individual reading at a young age, they can practice with these books without the help of a teacher or their parents. Each volume is a bit more complex, containing more text and less illustrations as they proceed to higher level. The illustrations accommodate the text in their loose and funny style, designed to make the plot easier to understand. Three volumes are finished out of five, published by Pagony, available in Hungarian only at the moment.
The protagonist & supporting characters
Ferkó is a young and ambitious inventor, always restless, working on something new. We follow his story as he is growing up, starting with his school life, going on to finding his true love, and eventually we learn about him becoming a dad. In the future volume, he will be sixty, but still awesome.
Others also accompany him on his journeys, Gizella, his future wife, with her evil twin siblings, appear in the second book. Later the story focuses on Franciska, his daughter wit the same interests and smarts as him, and the robot they invented together.
